The Lion, the Pearl and the Chanel Wardrobe...

Camden well and truely remains one of London's treasures, with all aspects of the nanny-state behind; it is what London should be about - diversity, history, culture and fun! With a vast and eclectic array of clothes, music and street food it took me straight back to the summer I spent last year in Thailand. It remains a real hotspot for true Londoners. But the market, whoch began in 1974, has already allegedly become London's 4th most popular tourist attraction now attracting 100,00 people a weekend... I just hope it does not lose its edge.

The Koh San Road in Bankok...

I am suprised by how much I have been wearing this nail polish... I was given it in a goody-bag from a magazine I interned with, and so I felt I ought to give it a try. Whilst I normally stick with black or red, and I am careless in application, Nails Inc have done good this time... And have maybe even got me a little more interested in the world of nails!
One of the most valuable lessons in fashion I have learnt, was in fact by the inspirational Diane von Furstenberg, who said one should never throw anything away, as everything eventually comes back into fashion.
I learnt this the hard way as I recently bought myself a new pair of tanned heeled clogs and a cropped denim waistcoat from Topshop. I, of course, owned clogs aged ten and my feet have not grown since then believe it or not, and like very 11 year old girl I owned a denim jacket, which, with a hand pair of scissors, could of looked identical to the waistcoat now. If only DVF had been in my life then I could of saved myself an expensive shopping trip!
Feeling adventurous this morning, and bearing this idea in mind; I dug out an old sleeveless, navy blue gym top from my age 16 netball days, and simply by doing up the buttons on the collar (a move I would of never dreamed of whilst at school) and teaming it with a highwaisted bodycon skirt, I suddenly discovered the joy of recycling clothes!

Being a poor student and intern, I have once again found myself with £5.20 to my name for the foreseeable future. In London this may buy me a large extra creamy Starbucks, a zone 1 ticket on the underground, a new top from.. Well only really from Primark, or August's Vogue...

I live in London but dream to move to New York, I study Politics but dream to take on the world of fashion, and I am 5'nothing but dream to be tall! I suppose at least I can conquer two of those... I spent last Christmas exploring New York in what can only be the most difficult conditions to explore a city in... It was not odd to step outside and find that you could not even see your own outstretched hand due to the ongoing blizzard we were blessed with. Yet it was one of the best weeks of my life, and cemented my decision to move at the nearest opportunity! I hope to explore Sicily next, and then Paris... Here's to dreaming...
